If you prefer to take an alcoholic beverage every now and then, keep your money at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar casino. I am serious. clean out your pocketbook, your money belt, and keep all cash, debit cards and cheques at home. Take whatever money you intend to use on drinks, tips and whatever loose change you intend to lose and leave the rest behind.
Contemptuous? Not at all. Practical more like. You may well discover a win after a boozy evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to catch a marathon roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and bet. The 2 just don’t mix.
Keeping your money at home is a little drastic, but precautionary measures for dramatic actions is relative and required. If you play to succeed, then do not consume alcohol and wager. If you are able to manage to throw away your cash without a worry, then drink all the free alcohol your belly can handle, but do not take credit cards and chequebooks to throw into the combination of chasing losses once your drunk as a skunk brain squanders all the cash!
